Subscription Update Obituary
     Jeralyn “Jerry” L. (Waring) Harrison, 87, of Shrewsbury, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018, in the comfort of her home.  Her loving husband of forty-eight years, Thomas F. Harrison, predeceased her in May 2000.Jerry was born in Quincy, daughter of the late, David and Lilla (Lawrence) Waring. She lived in Hopkinton for many years, before settling in Shrewsbury where she was delighted to be the wife of a farmer who was also grounds keeper at Worcester State Hospital.

Jerry and her husband raised five wonderful children in Shrewsbury and they all will miss her dearly.  She leaves two sons, Thomas F. Harrison, III and his wife Marta of Williamson, NY, and Floyd G. Harrison and his wife Michelle of Rochdale; three daughters, Linda L. Wade-Smith and her husband Ralph of Seabrook, NH, Catherine L. Harrison and her partner Paul Delegiewicz, and Mary J. Caswell and her husband Jim, all of Shrewsbury; three grandchildren, Lisa Harrison of Worcester, Jimmy Caswell, Jr. of Webster, and Sarah Lawton and her husband John of Dudley; a great grandson, John Lawton, III; a close life-long friend and care giver, Joyce Herrick of Shrewsbury; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her only brother, David Waring.

Jerry worked as a machine operator for many years at Wachusett Molding Company, and following her retirement she remained active with her husband delivering for Meals on Wheels and the Shrewsbury Senior Center.

Jerry was always considerate of other and of her church.  She attended of Well Spring Methodist Church in Shrewsbury, she had served as a Deaconess at the Baptist Church in Grafton, and she sang Alto in many area church choirs.  She enjoyed travelling around the world on her many trips with her daughter and her travel group Mystic Valley Railroad Society.  She volunteered as a Girl Scout troop leader, enjoyed camping as well as stamp collecting.

Calling Hours for Jerry will be on Monday, June 4, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.  Her Funeral Service will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a procession to Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton for interment services.
