James Mark (Jim) Weaver, 54, a devoted family man and life-long Red Sox enthusiast, passed away after an extended illness on Thursday, August 16, 2012. Born in Gloucester, MA, he was the son of James Milford Weaver and the late Elizabeth (Dolan) Weaver. He lived in Massachusetts for many years before relocating to North Carolina where he earned a degree in Business Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
     He is survived by his wife, Robin and his daughter, Natasha (Cami) of Concord, NC; his father James Milford Weaver of Millbury, MA; his sister, Karen Walsh of Millbury, MA; his sister, Kathleen Martinello and her husband Tony of Sutton, MA; his brother, Daniel Weaver and his wife Susan of Millbury, MA; his brother, Brian Weaver and his wife Linda of Oxford, MA; his Godchildren, Erin Esposito, Ryan Weaver and Brilee Weaver; nieces/nephews Sean Walsh, Brendan Walsh, Andrew Martinello, David Martinello, Lauryn Weaver, and Devin Weaver as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
      Among his many attributes, Jim will be remembered for his magnetic personality and quick-wit. He embraced the philosophy that strangers were just friends waiting to happen. Jim’s zest for life was only surpassed by his ability to persevere in any situation. His natural curiosity and love of learning always kept him striving to engage in new experiences. Jim’s many passions included historical trivia, architecture, writing, drawing, watercolor painting, radio broadcasting, acting, ballroom dancing and his swimming pool.
     A memorial Mass to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 25, 2012, at St. Mark’s Church, 356 Boston Rd. in Sutton, MA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 E. 7th Street, Charlotte NC 2824, or www.hpcc.org.
