     James Daskowski, 70, of Cricket Dr., passed away on Wednesday, March 26th, in his home after a long illness. He leaves his two sons, Francis "Shorty" Daskowski of Parsons, KS and Anthony Daskowski of Sutton; three sisters, Barbara Minella of Manchester, CT, Loretta Tencati of Northampton and Gail Arpin of Dudley; three grandchildren, Jherryn Gill, Kelly Crawford and Izzabellah Daskowski; his former wife, Andrea Miller; and a close cousin, Carl Kaliszewski of Webster. He was predeceased by his long time companion, Holly Moran. He was born in Webster the son of Stanley and Theresa (Kaliszewski) Daskowski. James worked for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority for 23 years, retiring in 2010. He was a former member of the Lions Club in West Boylston. He loved deep sea fishing, spending time outdoors and camping. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. His funeral will be held on Monday, March 30th, at 10:00am in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Burial will follow in the Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Sunday, March 29th, from 4:00 to 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
