Subscription Update Obituary

     Isabelle Peters was born on December 25th 1912 to Charles & Viola (Plant) Peters of Turkish and French descent in Milford, MA. She was baptized Christine Flora Isabelle Peters on Jan. 13, 1913. Her young adult life she lived and cared for a couple in Webster, when they passed she went back to live with her mother. She worked at a young age doing hard labor jobs. She married her first husband Mike and later married Lucien J. LaPlume had 7 children. She was a devoted stay at home Mom. In her 50′s she went to work at The Mart on Main St in Worcester as a cashier, got her license and bought herself a car. She lost a daughter Diane M. LaPlume Snodgrass at age 24 and helped raise 2 grandchildren, and always stayed strong. She kept home for herself and son Roger who had Down’s Syndrome until she had to have eye surgery at the age of 90. She belonged to the Women’s Veterans Auxiliary and marched in many parades in Worcester.

She was predeceased by her daughter Diane and her grandson Robert Lewis LaPlume.

She leave her children Robert & Donna LaPlume of Worcester, Paul & Joyce Guzewicz of Douglas, Donald & Donna LaPlume of Florida, Elice V. Chiapulis of Spencer, Roger J. LaPlume of Spencer, Gail F Hussey of Worcester, 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandson.

Isabelle resided at St. Mary’s HealthCare in Worcester where she passed peacefully with her daughter Elice at her side.
