Holmes Iveson, 71, of 26 Knowles St., Auburn, died yesterday at his home. He retired in 1963 after 35 years as an industrial engineer at U. S. Envelope Co. He leaves his wife, Virginia E. (Gould) Iveson. He was born in Sedburgh, York, England, son of Horace P. and Mary (Magham) Iveson, and lived 35 years in Auburn. Mr. Iveson was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Joel H. Prouty Lodge of Masons, Pakachoag Chapter, order of the Eastern Star, and its 224 Club, all in Auburn, Aletheia Grotto Band, and the Central Massachusetts Ebbastars, Order of the Eastern Star. Mr. Iveson was graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1927.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am tomorrow in Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours at the funeral home are 7 to 9 pm today. It is requested flowers be omitted. Contributions may be made to the memorial fund of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, School Street, Auburn.
