Helen D. M. (Thibeault) Trottier, 76, a lifelong Holden resident, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 1, 2014, with her loving family by her side. Helen was born and raised in Holden, daughter of the late Josephat L. and Eva Marie (LeBlanc) Thibeault.
She graduated from Wachusett High School. Helen has resided in the same home her entire life. Prior to her retirement, Helen worked as a preparation worker at Papa Gino’s Restaurant in Holden for 25 years. Previously, she worked as a parts inspector for the former Vellumoid, Inc. for 20 years. She enjoyed cruising to Mexico and Key West, camping and her weekly shopping trips with her daughter. Helen’s gregarious personality came out as she easily carried on a conversation with anyone. Helen’s greatest love was the time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. Together, they visited Walt Disney World several times.
Helen leaves her beloved husband of almost 45 years, Donald C. Trottier; her two cherished children, Scott J. Trottier and his wife, Deborah of Hubbardston and Stacy A. Lacey and her husband, Walter of Gardner; her two brothers, William Thibeault of Rutland and Richard Thibeault of Boylston. She also leaves her 6 adoring grandchildren, Ryan, Erin and Kara Trottier, and Brody and Brielle Lacey, and the late Justin Trottier; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother, Paul Thibeault, and by her sister, Florence Merchant.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Helen’s family on Wednesday, June 4, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, June 5, from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
