Subscription Update Obituary

Worcester- Helen A. (Volangavitch) Gouin, 74 of 195 Millbury St. died Monday night in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness.

She leaves her husband, Howard A. Gouin; two sons, Edward J. and Louis H. Gouin; two daughters, Carol A. Fryc and Mary Jane Gustafson; a brother, EdwardVolungis; three sisters, Anna Kryszyn, Eva Siminski and Ruth Rydzewski, all of Worcester; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Dennis and Antonina (Miliauskas) Volangavitch, and had lived here all her life.

Mrs. Gouin was a food service worker for 28 years at St. Vincent Hospital, retiring in 1983.

She was a member of Our Lady of Vilna Church.

The funeral will be held tomorrow fromthe Dirsa-Kazlauskas Funeral Home, 51 Providence St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Vilna Church, 151 Sterling St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours at the funeral home are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
