Heather L Chartier, 40 of Webster MA passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at UMASS Memorial Medical Center-University Campus suddenly after losing a battle with a long-term illness.

Heather is survived by her three children whom she loved dearly. Gabriel Kitteredge of Gilbertville, Damian Marhefka of Webster, and Marissa Marhefka of Webster. She also leaves her mother Kathie (Robertson) Chartier of Spencer, two sisters Bethany Cox of New Hampshire, and Carrie Chartier of Spencer as well as many nieces/nephews, friends and her beloved pets.

Born in Southbridge MA daughter to the late Michael Chartier, she graduated David Prouty high school in Spencer. She later went on to graduate from Porter and Chester Institute in Westborough for dental assisting.

Heather worked as a waitress, then for many years as a certified nursing assistant at the Overlook Masonic Nursing home in Charlton where she loved helping her patients. She then worked briefly as a dental assistant but her heart called her back to being a CNA, working privately in patients’ homes with pride.

Heather enjoyed traveling, beach days, outdoor adventures such as hiking with Molly, her dog, fishing, camping, and playing softball. However, the thing that made her the happiest was spending time with her children.

A celebration of life will be held in memory of Heather on August 13th from 1-6pm at the Spencer Fish and Game.
