Subscription Update Obituary

HOLDEN, MA/NAPLES, FL – Harold “Hal” F. Burnham, of Pearl Drive, Naples, Florida, formerly of Holden, died on Monday, November 19, 2007 in Naples Community Hospital, after a long struggle with cancer.

He leaves his wife of 42 years, Beverly J. (Andersen) Burnham; his son, Dale R. Burnham and his wife Kathleen and their children, Meredith and Erin Burnham all of Louisville, KY; his mother, Ethel M. (Allen) Burnham of Sterling; his brother, Clarence W. Burnham and his wife Marilyn of Holden; and two nieces, Sandra Olson of Sterling and Beth Bylund of Auburn. He was born and raised in Holden a son of the late Harold A. Burnham. He was a 1958 graduate of Wachusett Regional High School and a graduate of Fitchburg State College. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War having served from 1959-1963.

Hal was an engineer for Norton Company for 37 years, retiring in December of 2000. He loved the Motorhoming lifestyle and traveled full time with his wife, Bev since retirement. He was a member of the Governing Board for the Family Motorcoach Association and enjoyed attending their rallies across the country. He was an avid NASCAR fan and attended many races.

Relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service for Hal at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 1st, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hal’s memory may be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105-3847.
