Subscription Update Obituary

Gordon W. Davis of Worcester passed away peacefully Tuesday January 3 at home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with lung cancer.

He leaves his wife of 41 years, Diane T. (Carrigan) Davis, His children David M. Carrigan, his wife Susan and their children Kayla and David Jr. , Matthew W. Davis and his children Joshua William and Briella Lillian and Melissa L. Davis and her daughter Melanie Marie Rodriguez of Worcester; his brother Jeffery L. Davis; the Carrigan family which included his brother and sister in laws and nieces and nephews. A sister Natalie A. Martel, predeceased him. He was born in Gardner the son of the late Edgar L. Davis and Beatrice A. (Bastille) Davis.

Gordon attended Gardner public schools and performed multiple jobs and task throughout his life. He loved to spend time with his family, watching and enjoying  his  grandchildren as they grow up,  playing cribbage, playing slots at Mohegan Sun Casino,  walking to the corner store with his brother in law Danny  for morning coffee,  sharing stories of the past and sharing his daily shake with his side kick Max the cat.

Visiting Hours will be held Friday, January 13th from 9-11am  with a Funeral Service at 11am in Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In Lieu of flowers,  contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www. stjude.org in the name of Gordon W. Davis.
