Gail E. (Wood) Cicio, 75, of Worcester passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Ichabod Washburn House.
     Gail leaves the love of her life, whom she met at the Wyman Spa in Worcester, her husband of 56 years, Robert F. “Togo” Cicio; two sons, Stephen A. Cicio and his wife Terry of Methuen and Michael J. Cicio and his wife Loretta of Hampstead, NH; her brother, John Wood and his wife Mary of Auburn; her sister, Marsha Jankowski and her husband Chet of Worcester; six grandchildren, Cory, Mellissa, Nicole, Jared, Zachary, Emily and Joshua; several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Gail was predeceased by her son, Robert F. Cicio, Jr.
     Gail was born in Worcester on August 4, 1937 the daughter of Arthur A. and Lea M. (Cournoyer) Wood and lived here all her life. She graduated from St. Peter’s High School in 1955 and the former Salter Secretarial School in 1956. Gail worked at the former Brown Shoe Co., Crompton Knowles and for 21 years at Family Fair, Inc. She had been a bookkeeper at an Independent Living facility and did secretarial work in her home.
     Gail was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Church, its choir and volunteered many hours there. Gail also enjoyed being a den mother while her sons were in cub scouts.
     Gail’s funeral will be held on Monday, April 29th from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours for Gail will be on Sunday, April 28th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
