Subscription Update Obituary

Floyd L. Fisher, 84, of Worcester, died, Friday, February 24th in St. Vincent Hospital. He is survived by two sons, Larry F. Webb and his wife, Sandy of Worcester and Mark Madore and his wife, Rozel of San Diego; four daughters, Tammy Madore, Rita Poumele and her husband, Sefo all of San Diego, Tracie Ducharme and Aretha Powell-Sierra all of Worcester; his brother, Carthur Fisher and his wife, Lynn of Falmouth; two sisters, Vonda Moore and Sheila Troy both of Worcester and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Phil Fisher, his daughter TaWanda Fisher and 3 Grandsons, Wayne J Webb, Joseffa (JoJo) Poumele, and John Smith.

He was born in Worcester, the son of George and Charlotte (Dyer) Fisher; and had worked as an independent truck driver for many years before retiring. Floyd served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He attended John Street Baptist Church, and was an avid fisherman, enjoyed shooting pool and spending time with his friends. His greatest joy was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

His funeral is Tuesday, March 7th with a service at 11:00 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
