Subscription Update Obituary

Florence M. (Manavian) Burgess, 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Christopher House of Worcester. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of George and Jennie (Skeels) Manavian and had lived most of her life in Paxton.

Her loving husband, David K. Burgess, passed away in 2019. She leaves her sons, George Burgess and his wife, Margaret of Mentor, OH, Philip Burgess and his wife, Charlene of Putney, VT and Steven Burgess and his wife, Lynn of Paxton; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Florence graduated from Worcester Schools and was an office manager at the former John J. Adams Die Corp in Worcester for 42 years before retiring to happily help care for her grandchildren. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, sang in the choir and was a member of its Women’s Society.

Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
