June 7,1989, Florence C.(Rafferty)Collins of 29 Dawson Road died Monday in City Hospital.She was a sales clerk at Jordan Marsh Co.17 years,retiring in 1987.She leaves her husband,John A.Collins;three sons,John M.Collins of Shrewsbury,Paul T.Collins of Dennis,and Steven E.Collins,stationed with the U.S.Navy in Pearl Harbor,Hawaii;a daughter,Teresa F.Collette;and a sister,Una M.Logan,both of Worcester;and seven grandchildren.She graduated from South High School and Salter Secretarial School.Mrs.Collins was a member of St.Andrew the Apostle parish and the American Association of Retired Persons.She was born in Worcester,the daughter of James G.and Nellie M.(Murphy)Rafferty.The funeral will be held tomorrow from Fay Brothers Funeral Home,9 Hammond St;with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St.Andrew the Apostle Church,5 Spaulding St.Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park,Paxton.Calling Hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.today.
