Subscription Update Obituary

     Florence A. Walsh of Worcester passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at Saint Vincent Hospital.

Her husband of 56 years, John J. Walsh Jr., former Worcester Police Deputy Chief, died in 2006.

Florence leaves two daughters, Patricia A. Harvey and her husband John F. Harvey, and Kathleen M. O’Brien and her husband Edward J. O’Brien, all of Worcester, four grandchildren, Caitlin Borsini and her husband Matthew Borsini of Northborough, Brian Harvey of Worcester, Julie Harvey of Dedham and her fiancé Michael Celularo, and Kerry O’Brien of Worcester; two great-granddaughters, Clara and Alice Borsini of Northborough; a sister Marie Swift of Worcester, and many nieces and nephews.

Florence was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Cecelia (Callahan) Chaisson, and lived in Worcester all her life.

Florence was a loving wife and mother. She was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-granddaughters.

The funeral Mass will be Thursday, February 4, at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher’s Church, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester. Masks and distancing are required at church. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, will be private. There are no calling hours. Florence’s family will hold a celebration of her life at a later date.
