Subscription Update Obituary

    Ernest Paul “Pop-Pops” George, 65, died Monday, November 23rd in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, surrounded by his family, after a brief illness.

    He leaves his wife of 39 years, Carol Ann (Pelkey) George; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Belsito of Dudley; three sons, Ronald P. George and his wife Billie-Jean of Worcester, Derek W. George of Millbury and Jeremy G. George of Paxton; three granddaughters, Jessica and Kayleigh Francis and Gianna Belsito and three grandsons, Devon, Tyler and D’Artagnan George; two sisters, Carol wife of David Jessing of Northbridge and Dolores wife of Lee Matys of Millbury; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester son of Claude J. and Julia L. (Borek) George and had lived in Shrewsbury before he returned to Millbury.

    Mr. George worked in maintenance at Jamesbury Corp. in Worcester for 28 years, before he retired.

    A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
