Elvira P. (DeGaetano) Tavano, 94, of Worcester, MA and Hampton, NH passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022.

She was born June 29, 1928 to the late Angelo and Ellen (Scampini) DeGaetano. Elvira is survived by a sister Grace Masiello, two brothers Richard DeGaetano and Angelo DeGaetano Jr; three children, Joseph Tavano and his wife Brenda of Virginia, Linda Tavano of Massachusetts, and Charles Tavano and his wife Kathy of New Hampshire; 6 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great children and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Ida Sneade and Marie Rinaldi and brothers John DeGaetano and Robert DeGaetano.

Elvira was a longtime employee of Davey’s in Worcester, MA. She enjoyed her years spent in Florida and Cape Cod. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Elvira was laid to rest at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, MA on Friday, September 9, 2022. Memorial remembrances in Elvira’s name can be made to either organization close to her heart: Disabled American Veterans or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
