Eloviano “Viano” Chico Ejiro passed away peacefully at the tender age of 10, surrounded by the love of his mother and those caring for him on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Why Me & Sherry’s House in Worcester. Born in Boston, he was the sweet boy of Joy (Odiete) Ejiro and the late Chico J. Ejiro.

An “old soul”, Viano will be remembered as calm and compassionate, loving and sensitive, funny and very smart. He enjoyed building with Legos and playing Roblox games however, most of his time was spent playing the adventure game, Terraria. Viano was a fifth-grade student at West Tatnuck Elementary School where he had many friends.

Viano will be lovingly missed and remembered by his mother, Joy; his two brothers, Oghenekome and Oghenemaro Chico Ejiro; his sister, Oghenerukewe Chico Ejiro; his Grandmother, Mary Odiete; his Godmothers, Linda Ikeogu, Ginette Trolsen and Deborah Abraham; his uncles, aunties and cousins; his extended family at Why Me & Sherry’s House, Lucy’s Love Bus and Pedi Pal; his nurses and oncology team at Boston Children’s Hospital/Dana Farber Cancer Institute and his Care Team at Notre Dame Hospice.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Viano’s family from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 2 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Why Me & Sherry’s House, 1152 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01602.
