Edward Timothy “Tim” Callahan, 66, lifelong Shrewsbury resident, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully at home on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2021, with his loving family at his side.

He leaves his beloved wife, Sharon A. (Morin) Benoit-Callahan; his daughter, Leigh Ann Pereira, of Auburn; two grandchildren, Ashleigh Cote and her husband Michael, of Southbridge, and Stephanie Routhier and her husband Shane, of Waycross, GA; one great-granddaughter, Jillian Rose Cote; five siblings: Russel J. Callahan, of Hawaii, Dennis F. Callahan and his wife Elizabeth, of Dudley, Gail M. Callahan, of Shrewsbury, Lorna H. Callahan, of Worcester, and William J. Callahan and his wife June, of Maine; along with several nieces and nephews.

Born in Worcester to the late Russell and Helen J. (Walsh) Callahan, Tim was raised and educated in Shrewsbury. On his birthday, December 28, 2007, he married the love of his life at North American Martyrs Church, in Auburn. For thirty years, he worked as an Equipment Coordinator for the Town of Shrewsbury, retiring in 2019.

In his free time, Tim enjoyed visiting Massena, NY and North Conway, NH on vacation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html).

Tim’s family will be celebrating his life privately, and burial will take place in Worcester County Memorial Park. The BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
