He was born in Worcester, son of the late Edward M. and Catherine P. (Mulhern) Eressy and was a graduate of the former Commerce High School where he was a stand-out athlete. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was awarded 2 Bronze Stars.

Ed was a manager at the former Ralph’s Supermarket on Lincoln Street, later known as the Big D Market, where he worked for more than 30 years until he retired. After his retirement, he enjoyed helping out his friends at the Boulevard Diner on Shrewsbury Street. He was a true Boston sports fan, especially of his beloved Red Sox. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge in Auburn.

The family would like to thank the staff at Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the compassionate care they provided for Ed over the past several years.
