Edward J. Vallee, Sr., 84, died peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester following a period of declining health. Edward was born in Webster, a son of the late Helen Dalbec and her husband, Louis. He attended Worcester school.
As many people had to do, Edward was forced to leave school earlier than he wanted and he entered the workforce to help the family. As a guy who enjoyed working with his hands, Edward began working as a machinist and retired after 35 years from the Heal Machine Division of Cincinnati Milacron. His quiet nature led Ed to be happiest at home and when he was with his family. He proudly served in the US Army and was discharges as a PFC.
His beloved wife, Doris M. (Estabrook) Vallee died in 2006. He leaves his three children, Edward J. Vallee, Jr. and his wife, Gina of Ludlow, Linda M. Dubois of Worcester and Sandra H. Guenette and her husband, Joe of Athol; his sister, Delores Bullock of Spencer; ten grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two sons, Victor V. and Joseph E. Vallee.
Relatives and friends are invited to honor, remember and celebrate Ed’s life by visiting with his family on Tuesday, March 6th from 10-11 a.m. at Lindquist-Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler St., Worcester, to be followed by a prayer service honoring and celebrating Ed’s life at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
