Subscription Update Obituary

Edmond P. Leslie, 86, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at UMass Memorial Medical Center after an illness. Born and raised in Worcester, Ed was the son of Theophile and Lydia (Levesque) and lived 20 years in Rutland before moving to Holden in 1997.

His beloved wife, Barbara (McCabe) Leslie died in 2013. He leaves a son, Edmond D. Leslie of Holden; three daughters, Debra Ann Medina and her husband, Rodney of Las Vegas, Rose Ann Berthiaume and her husband, Gary of Rutland and Gayle Marie Leslie of West Boylston; nine grandchildren, Sandra, Sharon, James, Cherie, Crystal, Jason, David, Teresa and Alyshia; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Besides his wife, Ed is predeceased by a son, Gary E. Leslie, three brothers Richard Clarence Leslie, Norman Leslie, Francis Leslie and two sisters Rita Darling and Blanche Leslie-Pelletier.

Ed joined the United States Marine Corps before he married, in 1989 he became a Deputy Sheriff during the time he worked in the security field.

Ed’s life was filled with many interests. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the harmonica, listening to country music, playing cards, bowling, bingo and watching King Kong movies. In his earlier years, Ed enjoyed roller skating with his wife Barbara.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours from 8-9:30AM on Saturday, August 21 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St, Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson. Ed will be laid to rest besides his beloved wife Barbara at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or St. Mary’s Church.
