Subscription Update Obituary

     Earl P. Gilman, 80, went peacefully home with the lord on Saturday, June 23, 2007 in the Life Care Center in Auburn. He leaves his wife of 56 years Bernice (Fagerquist) Gilman. Two sons Steven of Worcester and Scott & his wife Margo of Tennessee. Two stepchildren Alicia Humes and Corteza Humes both of Tennessee. A brother Charles Gilman of Worcester. Two sisters Barbara Buteau of Brookfield & Mildred Dolittle of Oregon. He was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence Jr. and Raymond Gilman.
    
He was born in Worcester the son of Clarence & Lillian (Burdette) and lived many years in Worcester before moving to Brookfield. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne Division. Earl was a teacher in the Worcester Public School Sytems for many years and previously he worked for General Electric in Pittsfield.  He enjoyed wood carving, art, reading and music. He also loved to travel.
    
A graveside service for Earl will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. There are no calling hours. Pillsbury Funeral Home, Old West Brookfield Rd., Brookfield is directing arrangements.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
