Doris M.(Anderson)Mallett,80,of 165 Sterling Street;formerly of Worcester,was stricken ill and died Friday in her home. Mrs.Mallett was a secretary at Worcester Memorial Hospital,retiring in 1973.She was previously a millinery buyer for the former C.T.Sherer Co. department store in Worcester. Mrs. Mallett graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and its Hall of Famers,and the senior citizens of West Boylston Congregational Church.She was a member of the West Boylston Women's Club,the Elder Service of West Boylston and the Needle Bee Club. Her Husband,Wilfred O.Mallett,died in 1982. She leaves a daughter,Marilyn J.Stearns of Worcester;two grandsons,Bruce E.Stearns of Worcester and Brian A. Stearns of Anchorage,Alaska;two grand-daughters,Kristina L. and Kimberly A.Stearns,both of Worcester;and a niece. She was born in Worcester,daughter of Andrew and Kristina (Olson)Anderson,and lived here 34 years. The Funeral will be held tomorrow from Miles Funeral Home,1158 Main St,Holden,with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church,111 Worcester street.Burial will be at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.Calling hours at the funeral home are 3 to 5 p.m.today.Flowers may be sent,or memorial contributions made to the Renovation Fund of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church,111 Worcester St,West Boylston,01583.
