Doris M. (Daigle) Urbanovitch, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, after an illness. She was born in Holden, the daughter of Joseph P. and Rose M. (Lemieux) Daigle and had lived in Paxton since 1948.

Her beloved husband of 54 years, Frank A. Urbanovitch, passed away in 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Ginger A. Urbanovitch of Paxton, MA and her companion, Lewis Klaiman; her son, Frank A. Urbanovitch, II and his partner, Mary Ellen Holden of Chester, NY; her grandson, Frank J. Urbanovitch; her brother, Richard Daigle of Leominster; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Florence Hooks and her brother, Edmond Daigle.

Doris graduated from Holden High School in 1947 and was accepted in New York to model in 1948. She met a handsome young man and decided to settle down and start a family with the love of her life, Frank, that same year. Doris was a secretary for the Paxton Water Department for several years and previously had worked at Paul Revere Insurance Company in Worcester. She was a talented artist who worked with ceramics and paints, and you could always find her in her yard tending to her amazing gardens. She loved to dance, and she and Frank once taught dancing lessons. She was a member of St. Columba Church and was a member and past president of the Paxton Women’s Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Doris’s family on Monday, May 16th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Columba Church, 18 Richards Ave. Paxton. Entombment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MAB Community Service for the Blind, 799 West Boylston Street, Worcester, MA 01606, or Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, P.O. Box 202, Franklin, MA 02038.
