Subscription Update Obituary

David A. Lamprey, 68, died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, June 14, 2024, after a long illness. He is survived by his brother, Daniel A. Lamprey and his wife Marilyn of Leicester; four nieces. Tanya Lamprey of Cherry Valley, Michelle Rojas and her husband Jose of Connecticut, Cassandra Blanchard of Connecticut, and Melinda Arcadia of Rhode Island; and great-nieces and nephew, KayLee Besse, Christian Lamprey, and Annalilia Rojas. He was predeceased by two sisters, Christine Blanchard and Cynthia Lamprey.

He was born in Worcester, son of the late Harold A. and Ora L. (Lamprey) Lamprey, and was a lifelong resident of Cherry Valley. He graduated from Leicester High School.

Mr. Lamprey worked as a machinist for many years. Later, he worked as an autobody technician and owned his own landscape company prior to retirement. He enjoyed flying his Cessna 150 airplane. He also operated radio control helicopters. He loved animals, especially his cats, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing the piano. Most of all, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family.

Services will be held privately. Burial will be private at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Cat Connection, 289 Thompson Road, Webster, MA 01570.

Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
