Subscription Update Obituary

     Darrell A. Deso Sr., 63 of Worcester passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in UMass Memorial Medical Center- University Campus.

Mr. Deso is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pamela J. (Cross) Deso; a son, Blade Deso and his wife, Melinda of Dudley; two step-sons, Joshua Cross and Jason Cross both of Worcester; a brother David Deso of Worcester, MA; two sisters, Deborah Deso Davenport of East Sandwich, MA and Sharon Scribner of New Hampshire; many grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Darrell was born in Worcester, son of the late Clayton Deso Jr. and Virginia (McAvey) Deso-Decker and is also predeceased by a son, Darrell Deso Jr. who died in 2019.

Mr. Deso graduated from Burncoat High School and served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for many years in the construction field as a roofer for the George Barnard Co. and also worked as a driver for the ProSource Company.

Darrell was a member of the Brown Square Civic Club and enjoyed to go camping, fishing and playing poker.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 5 from 3 to 5 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In accordance with the CDC and local guidelines, face coverings will be required for anyone in attendance at the funeral services.
