Daphne Ianthe Phillips 86 y/o, of Worcester MA, passed on Friday 28th of July 2023. She was the Greatest Mother, Grandmother and wonderful friend to That shop knew her. She was Kind, Gracious, and Selfless to a Fault. Daphne was born January 29th 1973 in Pool Tenetry, St John Barbados.

She went to a Vocational School in Barbados where she learned to be a Seamstress. She moved to the U.S.A. where she worked several different jobs; until she decided to open a dress shop, that Blossomed into a Bridal Shop to do what she loved, and so D ‘ianthe Design was Born. She was the Leading and the most Unique Bridal Shop in the area Until she retired five years ago. She designed, made and altered clothing for every one no matter what size. If you could think it, she could make it. She came to the United States, to make a better life for her family, and herself. She did that and more! Including leaving skills to be carried on by some of her children.

To Daphne, Family was very important. She was preceded by her oldest son Lester Smith, and grandson Bernard Johnson, who I am sure are waiting to take care of her. She leaves her son Philip Smith and Michael Smith. Grandchildren Shanda Smith, Jalisa Smith, Rashad Minor, Jeffrey Johnson, Owen Minor, Daphne Smith and Idaliana Medina. Great Grandchildren Kalisa Smith, Niiyel Johnson, Bernard Anthony Desmond Johnson, Jr., Ameren Minor, Ramiel Ocasio Minor, Enzo Minor, Oliver A Medina and Ex Husband Lionel H Smith.
