Constance A. (Cassulis) Waite, 88, beloved wife of Martin J. Waite, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, May 11, 2022.
Born and raised in Worcester, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Evelyn (Nordberg) Cassulis-Rowe. Connie graduated from Commerce High School and went on to enjoy a long career as a bookkeeper for several local companies including the former Lincoln Nursing Home, State Liquors and Edith’s Flower Shop in Holden. She was a faithful member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Holden. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing with Marty and working side by side with him while tending to the beautiful flower gardens around their home. She could often be found bowling and visiting the casino’s where she was a “Queen of Bingo”. Connie cherished spending time with her neighbors, Tom and Joann Ducharme and referred to them as her ”adopted children”. She also loved pool parties, swimming and casual conversation with family and friends.
Connie will be lovingly missed and remembered by her husband of 53 years, Marty; her close friends and neighbors, Tom and Joann Ducharme; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Bart Cassulis and her sister, Betty Sullivan.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Jewish Healthcare Hospice, who took such wonderful care of Connie during her illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with her family for a calling hour from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 16 at St. George Catholic Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, National Capital Area Chapter, 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400, McLean, VA 22102. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
