Subscription Update Obituary

     Cecilia V. (Ruggieri) Charamella, formerly of Winneconnett Rd in Worcester, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 20th 2018, nine days short of her 98th birthday.

Cecilia was born and raised in the Lake View section of Worcester on the road she lived on all her life.  The only daughter, of five children of Domenic and Josephine (Martucci) Ruggieri.  She has lived her entire life in Worcester.

Cecilia’s husband Joseph J. Charamella passed away in 1980.   She is survived her daughter, and son in law, who watched over and cared for her, Linda C. Manna and her husband Richard of Shrewsbury and her son John J. Charamella of Canton, NY; Her two brothers, John and Daniel Ruggieri both of Worcester; three grandchildren she dearly loved, John, Angela Groccia-Enman and Asa Paris; a great granddaughter, Bobbi Josephine Enman; Nieces, nephews and extended family.  Two brothers, Maurice and Aldo Ruggieri pre deceased her.

A simple, stay at home mom, Cecilia believed there was nothing more important than her husband, children and grandchildren.   Her most enjoyable moments were those spent with them.  She especially loved her home, made sure everything inside was neat and clean, enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, taking care of her home and family.

Friends and relatives are invited to a period of calling hours Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.,  followed by a service at 10:30 am,  Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
