Carole (Lombardi) Vescera, 90, of Worcester passed away at Christopher House surrounded by loved ones Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

Carole was born in Worcester, the daughter of Ralph Lombardi, Sr. and Julia (Daly)Lombardi. Raised educated and has lived in Worcester her entire life.

Carole is survived by her husband and best friend for the past 35 years, Bartholomew “Bart” Vescera; four children, Linda Grenache and her husband Roger of Holden, James DiGioia of Paxton, Kathleen Trainor and her husband John of Holden, and Kevin King of Worcester; a stepdaughter she loved as her own, Lorrie DeCillis and her husband James of Worcester; a brother, Ralph Lombardi, Jr and his wife Jayne of Worcester; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; Nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Carole was a kind woman who cherished her family, and loved having them all around her during the Holidays, family celebrations or dinners. Carole was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed attending Woosox games, traveling to Foxwoods, and watching Bart play senior softball.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Christopher House for the care and compassion they gave to her during a difficult time. A special thank you to nurses Amber, Lynn, Michelle and Comfort and her aides Sabrina and Diana and the activities directors who engaged her right until the end.  

Funeral arrangements and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, will be held privately. Memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the Christopher House Activities fund, 10 Mary Scano Dr. Worcester, MA The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements
