Subscription Update Obituary

Carol A. (Amsden) Youngstrom, 91, passed away Monday, November 18 in UMASS Medical Center.

Her husband of 29 years, Warren G. Youngstom died in 1984. She leaves three children, Paul F. Youngstrom of Leominster, David W. Youngstrom  and his late wife, Sandra I. Youngstrom of Marlborough and Sandra T. Fabian and her husband, Thomas Fabian of Eastford, CT;  a daughter in law, Catherine G. Youngstrom of Holden; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Erik, Kristin, Kate, Daniel, Andrew, Michael and Nathaniel and 17 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Edward A. and Kenneth M. Amsden predeceased her. She was born in Leicester, daughter of Edward A. and Ann T. (Leighton) Amsden and graduated from Commerce High School.

Carol was a proof reader at Hanover Insurance Company, for many years before retiring. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and its Golden Years Club. She loved playing bingo, crossword puzzles and summer days at Hampton Beach. But what mattered most to Carol was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Visiting Hour will be held Monday, November 25 from 10 to 11am with a Funeral Service at 11am in Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
