Subscription Update Obituary

Bryce F. McPherson, 85, passed away peacefully at Rose Monahan Hospice House on February 3, 2025, his birthday. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Joann (Ballou) McPherson; 6 children- Bryce McPherson Jr., Lisa Plourde, Richard McPherson, Sharon, David, and Gary McPherson. 13 grandchildren-LeeAnn, Ricky, Jayson, Courtney, Katie, David, Jessie, Jackie, Meghan, Lillian, Jacob, Haydn, and Rebecca; 14 great grandchildren; a brother Ronald McPherson and a sister Janice Groccia.

Bryce was born in Presque Isle, Maine, son of the late Ronald and Josephine (Morris) McPherson. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School. He worked as a machinist at Parker and Harper Manufacturing Co. and as a minister at the Worcester Baptist Church. He proudly served in the US Army and enjoyed fishing, playing chess, and spending time with his family.

A special thank you to Dr. Frank McCabe at Vitreo – Retinal Associates and all other physicians and supportive staff for their compassionate care of Bryce throughout the years.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 9-11 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bryce’s memory may be made to Rose Monahan Hospice 10 Judith Rd. Worcester.
