Brian R. McQuain, 74, beloved husband of Catherine (Ozuk) McQuain, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. Born in Port Jefferson, NY and raised in Center Moriches, he was a son of the late Raymond and Lilian (Millard) McQuain.

Brian attended Center Moriches High School in NY and went on to further his education at the RCA Technical Institute. He enjoyed a long career as a PCB Design Engineer and worked for several companies including Digital Equipment, Compaq and Hewlett-Packard. After working in the computer industry for over 30 years, upon his retirement, he began working at the Broomfield machine shop where he made many lasting friendships.

In his younger years, he enjoyed attending the Sterling Civilian Police Academy and in retirement, he volunteered at the Wachusett Recycling Center as well as the Wachusett Food Pantry.

Later in life, Brian and Catherine could often be found cruising in their BMW Z3 and participating in many caravans to Greenville, SC with friends. In recent years, Brian cherished spending time with his granddaughter and playing cards with his grandson.

He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 50 years, Catherine; his daughter, Samantha Johnson of Sterling and her children, Lily and Logan; his sister, Sharon Meachen and her husband, Tom of Carver; his sister, Maureen Eleazer of LA; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family from 10 to 12 noon on Saturday, August 14 in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton.
