Subscription Update Obituary

   Brenda L. (Fitzpatrick) Hoag, 67, of Worcester died Sat., April 14 at home, surrounded by her family.

She leaves her husband of 42 years, William P. Hoag; two children, Paul W. Hoag of West Chesterfield, NH and Karen M. Roy of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Sheila M. Madaio of Abington and Kathleen Parse of Barre; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Michael T. Fitzpatrick died in 1999. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Charles J. and Carolyn I. (Nelson) Fitzpatrick and graduated from St. Stephen’s High School.

Brenda volunteered at the Greendale YMCA preschool program for several years, before retiring. Prior to that she worked in the cafeteria at St. Casmir’s School, she was a pharmacy technician at Fallon Clinic and a productions scheduler at Astra Pharmaceutical. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was a democratic delegate for the City committee. Brenda loved people and touched many lives, she especially loved being with her grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Mon, April 16, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11:30 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours will be held Mon, April 16, from 9 to 11 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Friendly House, 36 Wall St, Worcester, 01604.
