Billy J. Laske, 62, died suddenly Friday, January 16, 2015 He is survived by his former spouse and longtime friend, Kathy A. Dalianis; his daughter, Stephanie M. Byrnes and her husband John Byrnes of Oxford, MA; his daughter, Angela L. Laske of Worcester, MA; three grandchildren, Shane, Evan and Ariana Byrnes of Oxford, MA; his mother, Mary (Racine) Laske, a brother, Roy Laske and his wife Patricia of Worcester, MA; a sister, Rose Ann Josephson of Barre, MA; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Roy Laske, a brother Edward Laske and a sister Gladys Moquin. Billy J. Laske was born in Worcester, MA. He was hard working as he began his career at the age of fourteen. He worked at Norton Co. for twenty two years, holding several positions and twenty three years at UPS in Shrewsbury, MA. Billy was an avid sports fan, loved working out at the gym and running. He participated in many 5K and 10K charity events. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed the beach and fishing. Family, friends, and others whose lives Billy touched are invited to MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Roch Church, 334 Main Street, Oxford. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
