Beverly A. (Strand) Glass, 90, died peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Holden Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. She was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of the late Holger and Doris (Jordan) Strand.
Her husband, Robert H. Glass, a City of Worcester Firefighter for 34 years died in 1996. She leaves two daughters, Robin A. Hilton and her husband, Joseph of East Brookfield and Heather A. Selah and her husband, Richard of Rutland; three grandchildren, Susan Peterson of East Brookfield, Michael J. Hilton of Leominster and Kristen Selah of Worcester; and four great-grandchildren, Haley Hilton and Jack Peterson of East Brookfield, and Amelia and Nora Hilton of Leominster.
Beverly graduated from Commerce High School with the class of 1950 and lived in Worcester before moving to Spencer in 1983. She enjoyed working with customers as a bank teller at Worcester Federal Savings Bank for several years. Beverly was a member of the East Brookfield Baptist Church and a former member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Worcester.
Beverly enjoyed crafts, particularly rug hooking and ceramics. Her talent is evident in the many works she has left to her family. Her faith was central in her life and she was a devoted participant in many prayer chains that were shared with her fellow church members. Above all Beverly cherished the time she spent with her family, especially the many camping trips she took with them over the years.
