Subscription Update Obituary

Beverly Ann (Jason) Cote, 77, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at her home peacefully after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 35 years, Ernest E. Cote Jr. on February 21, 2022.

She is survived by her stepchildren, Kathleen Cote of Whitinsville, and Christine Cote-Murphy and her husband Joseph of Northbridge; 5 grandchildren, Daniel Santiago, Joshua Cote, Jillena Cote, Haley Tomas, and Hannah Murphy; her sister-in-law, Beatrice Curll of Whitinsville; her nephew, Jesse Curll of Mendon; her cousin Denise Perron and her husband William of Millbury, and her dearest friend, Yvette Ayotte-Kind of Whitinsville. She was predeceased by her brother William Jason Jr. and sister, Susan Jason.

Born in Worcester on July 25, 1947 she was the daughter of William A. Jason Sr. and Clara C. (Luneau) Jason and was raised in the Quinsigamond Village section of Worcester. She was a Graduate of Worcester’s Commerce high school class of 1966 and attended San Antonio College in 1972, where she attained a floral design certificate. In 1985, she met and fell in love with Ernest and they were married just months later. In the late 90’s, together they worked on designing and had their house built in Douglas on Wallis St. where they lived many years. 

Mrs. Cote worked for the Waters Corporation in Milford in their sales department from 1987 until her retirement in 2015. She was a skilled quilter and crocheter. For many years she enjoyed feeding the birds and wildlife that came onto her property. She was a dedicated wife, a great cook, and an excellent baker who always prepared gourmet meals for her family.

       Calling hours will be held in Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville on Sunday, September 22nd from 1-3 PM. A joint burial for her and her husband Ernest will take place on Friday, October 4th at 11AM in Worcester County Memorial Park Cemetery, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton, MA 01612. In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly’s memory may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
