Subscription Update Obituary

Betty J. Ellsworth, 66, of Spencer, passed away peacefully on Sat. March 1st, surrounded by her family and friends.

She is survived by her siblings, David E. Ellsworth and his wife, Cynthia of Nashville, TN, Russell D. Ellsworth of Rodger, CT, and Mary E. Greenberg and her husband, Richard of Arlington, TX; and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, whom she loved and adored as if they were her own children. She is predeceased by her sisters, Nancy Flynn and Barbara Walker.

Betty was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Dean & Marjorie (Gray) Ellsworth. She was a graduate of Auburn High School, Class of 1977. She worked in medical billing and coding, and auditing, retiring from Mass General Brigham & Women’s Hospital, this past December. Among her many pastimes, she enjoyed making arts and crafts including stained glass art and ceramics, as well as sewing. She loved going to the beach, vacationing, and entertaining family and friends. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed traveling to Florida to catch spring training with her father.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 7th, in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer. A calling hour will precede the service from 9 until 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: VNA Care, Fund Development, 100 Trade Center, Suite G-500, Woburn, MA 01801-1872.
