Subscription Update Obituary

     Betty A. (Dunlop) Tremblay, 76, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, April 2, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lawrence R. “Lefty” Tremblay of Oxford; two children, Shelly A. Tremblay of Oxford, and Michael J. Tremblay and his wife Jennifer of Sterling; two brothers, William Lonnroth of Ellington, FL, and Robert Lonnroth of Worcester; six grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her son Steven R. Tremblay who died in 2014; her brother Sonny Lonnroth; and her sister, Mildred Powell. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Wilson Dunlop and Ida (Guinee) Gagnon, and lived in Oxford for the past 23 years.

Mrs. Tremblay was a surgical technician at Hahnemann Hospital in Worcester for 25 years and Memorial Hospital in Worcester for 5 years, before retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Shrewsbury Dog Training Club in Shrewsbury. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, going to fairs, camping and traveling with her husband in their R.V., and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.

A funeral Mass will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at St. Mary’s Church, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Burial will be private at a later date at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Memorial calling hours are Friday, April 17, 2015, from 5-7 p.m., at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford.
