Subscription Update Obituary

Barbara A. (Beeso) Ruzicka, 80, died peacefully on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. She was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Russell and Mildred (Stearns) Beeso.

Barbara graduated from Commerce High School. She met her future husband, William Ruzicka while working at Sheppard Envelope Co. The couple married and settled in Worcester where they shared 48 years of marriage. Barbara worked as an Office Administrator at the former Park Ave. Distributors Co. and later Bancroft Motors where she dedicated 30 years of service. Family was the most important thing in Barbara’s life. She enjoyed family trips to Hampton Beach, Niagra Falls and Disney World among other destinations. She also enjoyed taking Sunday drives with her husband and children. Barbara was always looking forward to the next cookout or holiday gathering with her family that she could organize. She especially cherished spending recent years with her beloved grandson, Carter.

Barbara is survived by her husband, William J. Ruzicka of Worcester; her son, Thomas Ruzicka of Worcester; her daughter, Lori Hinckley and her husband, Kevin of Lancaster; her sisters, Katherine Patterson of Rutland and Alice Sullivan of Dudley; and her grandson, Carter Hinckley. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Beeso; and her sister, Diane Chamberland

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 11 am to 12 noon followed by a funeral service at 12 noon on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richard’s Ave., Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to VNA Care Hospice, Development Office, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608-1280.
