Subscription Update Obituary

     Barbara A. Rand, 71, of Auburn, died peacefully at home on Saturday January 25, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kerry M. Markvenas and her husband Anthony of Auburn; her grandchildren, Jessica A. Hallene of Providence, RI, Jennifer L. Hallene of Worcester, Sgt. Andrew F. Markvenas, Kayley Markvenas, and Taylor Markvenas, all of Auburn; her siblings, William D. Rand and his wife Cynthia of Jefferson, Janet E. Iocco and her husband Allen of Auburn, Patricia Armitage of Hubbardston, and Ginny M. Sanborn-Conroy and her husband Craig of Worcester; two aunts, an uncle, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, the late George H. and Virginia E. (Baxter) Rand.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Barbara’s family between 4:00 and 7:00 PM on Tuesday January 28, 2020 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA. Her prayer service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday January 29, 2020 at the funeral home, followed by burial at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UMASS Memorial Cancer Center via donate.umassmemorial.org.
