Barbara A. (DeMarco) Moynihan, 91, of Little Harbor in Guilford, Connecticut passed away peacefully on the morning of July 21, 2024. Predeceased by her beloved son, Michael E. Moynihan she bravely faced a life without him these past 12 months while battling her own health issues.
Barbara was a force for good wherever went. Beginning with her young start as a candy striper at Worcester City Hospital, throughout her nursing and teaching career and finally as a psychotherapist serving the greater New Haven and Shoreline communities in Connecticut. Barbara was a fierce protector of each individual’s rights. She treated everyone she encountered in life with the same respect, caring and professionalism and tested all to do the same.
A visiting hour will be held on Saturday, August 10th from 9:00-10:00 AM followed by a service at 10:00 AM in Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
A celebration of life for Barbara will be scheduled at a later date on the Shoreline in CT.
