Subscription Update Obituary

     Antonio E. Teixeira, 53 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 14, 2021 at UMass Medical Center.

Antonio was born on December 4, 1967 in Worcester, MA.  He attended St. Peter’s Central Catholic Elementary School later graduating from Holy Name Catholic High School.  Antonio worked various jobs in his career but the job he loved the most was being a handyman.  He enjoyed helping others not matter where or when anyone needed it, he would be there.  You could always count on Antonio to be there for you.  Antonio loved dogs, cooking for others and football especially the New England Patriots. Antonio was jovial and he always told stories to make family and friends laugh.

Antonio is survived by his mother, L. Marie (Bullock) Agyei of Worcester with whom he lived; a Great Aunt Florida P. Watson of Taunton Ma; two aunts, Jean Richards and Jane Quist and her husband Charles all of Worcester; many cousins.  He is predeceased by his father, Lawrence J. Teixeira; his grandparents and aunts and uncles.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 22nd at 10:00 am in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St., Worcester.  Burial alongside his father will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.  A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 5-7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.  In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donating to New England Donor Services, Attn: Caitlyn Bernabucci, 60 First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451
