Subscription Update Obituary

Anthony Joseph Trippi, 90, of Worcester, died Tuesday, October 28th in UMass Memorial Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Nancy M. (Leary) Trippi; two sons: Paul A. Trippi and his wife, Sharon of West Boylston, Charles F. Trippi and his wife Gail of Shrewsbury; a daughter, Susan M. Trippi of Lawrence; a brother, William Trippi of Shrewsbury; a sister, Rose Fazio of Worcester; three grandchildren: Heather, Holly and Heath Trippi. Two brothers: Angelo and Frank Trippi predeceased him. He was born in New York City, New York, the son of Antonio and Salvatrice (Prisinsani) Trippi.

Anthony was a graduate of the former High School of Commerce and received a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Masters Degree in Education from Worcester State College. Mr. Trippi was employed by Doherty High School as an art teacher for close to 40 years, retiring in 1988 and previously taught at the former High School of Commerce and Woonsocket High School. He was a co-owner of Tri-Mer Advertising in Worcester. Mr. Trippi was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Country Club for over 30 years, was a Tiffany Foundation Fellow, a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, an avid golfer and enjoyed painting.

The funeral is Friday, October 31st from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, October 30th from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club, 65 Tainter Street, Worcester, MA 01610 or Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA 01602.
