Anna M. Washburn, 84, of Fleming Island, Florida passed on to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 24, 2023 after a long illness. She was born to the late Melvin Johnson and Mary (Cicio) Johnson on December 22, 1938 in Worcester, Mass. Anna’s husband Karl pre-deceased her in 2018. Anna is survived by her loving children Stephen Swenson (Linda) and Karla Germain (Brad), cherished grandchildren, sisters Patricia Stark of Spencer, MA and Rose Karagosian of Venice, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna worked her entire career at Worcester City Hospital as a Medical Technician. Throughout her life, Anna was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her books, the theater and in particular, cruising/traveling to many destinations with her husband, family and friends. She also loved the Lord and was a member of Pinewood Church in Middleburg, Florida to include participation in many of the Ladies of Pinewood Bible Study Group studies. A graveside service and interment will be held Friday, 08 September at the Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, Mass. at 11:00 am, (Gospels Section) with Pastor Jarrett Allebach officiating. A previous service was held for Anna at the Russell Haven of Rest in Green Cove Springs, Florida on August 27th attended by Pastor Renfred Zepp. The family would appreciate contributions be made in Anna’s memory to Grace Presbyterian Church, 22 Ormond St. Worcester, Mass. 01609
