Subscription Update Obituary

Ann P. (Hogan) Ares, 97, of Paxton, died on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.

She leaves three daughters, Geraldine L. Cummings of Suffield, CT, Christine Devlin of NC, and Madeline Canavan of CT; her son, Leonard Ares, seven grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sister, Julia Hogan of Springfield. She was predeceased by her husband, Marcel E. Ares in 1997. She was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Martin and Katherine (Begley) Hogan.

Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, baking, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

A Graveside Service for Ann will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 2PM in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UMass Memorial Health Ronald McDonald Mobile Care, 250 1st Avenue, Boston, MA, 02129 or at www.rmhcne.org.

Ann’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the hard-working and compassionate staff at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center who made this difficult time an easier experience. Your thoughts and efforts will not be forgotten. Thank you for your dedication.
