Andrea (Andy) Doris (Therrien) LaPointe,79, of Lillian Ave., in the Rochdale section of Leicester, died Tuesday, July 5th, in Premier Nursing Home in Nashua, NH.

She was the wife of William J. LaPointe , the love of her life, who predeceased her in 2020. She leaves behind her daughter Karen Janos and her husband of New Hampshire. Her step-daughters Elizabeth Gilbert , Michelle Lapointe, Linda Knopp and Denise Chase and their children. Her nephew Frank Fleming and husband Ed and her niece Celeste Busconi-Cambria and her wife Cam all of Massachusetts. Her sister Elaine Vaudreuil and partner Terri of Massachusetts. Her four granddaughters Ashley, Brittany, Catrina, and Danielle of New Hampshire and many more friends and family.

Andrea attended Saint Joseph’s Catholic School and was Captain of the cheerleading squad in Worcester, Massachusetts and coached St. Joseph’s cheering squad during the 60’s & 70’s and North High School’s Cheer Team during the eighties. Andrea worked in payroll accounting at the former Becker Junior College in Leicester and Worcester prior to her retirement in 2007. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Paul and Doris (Morin) Therrien.

Andrea was the life of the party and loved to make people laugh. She enjoyed summers at the beach and spending time with loved ones. Andrea was known for her love of fashion, makeup, and jewelry. She loved watching Red Sox & N.E. Patriots games

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 21 at 10 a.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. A calling hour will precede the services from 9 to 10am. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Alzheimer’s Assoc. 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
