André Alfonso Dew Sr. Age 48 André went home to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven on August 2, 2024, two days shy of his 49th birthday. He was predeceased by his Paternal Grandfather and Grandmother the Rev. Walter Dew and his wife Iula, his Maternal Grandfather and Grandmother Ernest White Sr. and his wife Beatrice, his son André David, his brother David Erik, his Uncle Ernie and of course his best friend Tommy Walker (two peas in a pod), plus many friends.
André leaves to grieve, his mother Susanne and his brother Ernest Dew Jr., Osiris (mother of André David, Iriana, and André Jr.) his daughter Iriana Dew (Boonkie), his sons André Dew Jr. (Bubba) and Malachi (Punky) Dew. He also leaves Seth(Peanut) Aidoo who he helped raise since he was 9 months old, three Nephews Kishawn Dew, Sean Dew, and Michael Smith. Sandra Dion (who he considered his second mom), Amy Hunt (Malachi and Seth’s mother), Bob (who he considered to be another brother), Jennifer and her family (his very good friends), Uncle Jimmy and his wife Betty, Uncle Bobby, several cousins and Midnight and Luna, his furry friends. André Alfonso Dew Sr. was a big man with an even a bigger heart. He strived to be the father he never had. This was one of his greatest accomplishments. He succeeded in being that Dad hands down. Any man can be a father, but it takes a real man to be a Dad. André was a Dad to many, but his family always came first. André was truck driver and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Those of you who were fortunate enough to truly know André, knew that deep down inside he was a sweet, kind and loving man with a heart of gold. If he loved you, he loved you unconditionally. André was not perfect, but neither are you or I. Therefore, He who is without sin among you, let him be the first one to cast a stone. (John 8:7) Since André recently surrendered his life to Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we are confident that he is absent from the body and present with Lord. Do not put off today something that you think you can do tomorrow, for tomorrow may never come. Tell the ones you love, that you love them while you still have the opportunity. Give them that extra hug. Take the time because you may not have enough time.
I could see Yahweh embracing and cradling my child in heaven with His infinite wisdom, unwavering love and mercy, saying “Welcome home my son. Here we have no more pain and suffering.” Donations can be made to: Living Word Church Worcester, 30 Tyler Prentice Rd, Worcester, MA 01605.
