Subscription Update Obituary

Aline M. (Ricord) Guerra,77, of Leicester, died Wednesday, Sept. 22 in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis, which she had fought courageously for many years.

Her husband of 48 years, Donald M. Guerra died in 2016. She leaves her daughters; Tracy A. Eccleston of Leicester and Gina M. Smith and her husband Thomas of Leicester, her sisters; Rita Bortz and her husband Adam of So.Burlington, VT., and Rosie Goodrich and her husband Les of Winchendon, three grandchildren; Jacob, Michael and Rhianna, many nieces and nephews.

Born in Gardner, she was the daughter of Maurice and Fernande (LeFebvre) Ricord and later graduated from Murdock High School in Winchendon.

Aline was a long time office clerk at Hanover insurance in Worcester before retiring in 2006. She was a Tom Brady and New England Patriots Fan, enjoyed camping along with her husband and family. She was a resident at The Meadows of Leicester for several years where she made many friends, played bingo, and made puzzles. The family would like to thank the staff at The Meadows for their compassionate care of Aline over the years.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 10 am in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 7p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Greater N.E. Chapter,101A First Ave., Waltham, MA. 02451.
